Key dates of the academic year
2012 academic year: semester 1
- First day of classes - 27 February
- Break (no classes) - 6-22 April (includes Easter and weekends)
- Exam weeks - 5-22 June
- Last day of semester - 22 June
Semester 2
- First day of classes - 16 July
- Graduation (winter ceremonies) - 26-27 July
- Break (no classes) - 1-16 September (includes weekends)
- Exam weeks - 23 October-9 November
- Last day of semester - 9 November
- Graduation (summer ceremonies) - 12-14 December
Not all AUT University courses follow the above dates
The dates above are true for most courses of study. But some courses start or finish outside the academic year. Please contact your AUT faculty or school if you have questions about a course's start or finish date, or its exam dates. (Note: The academic year dates were accurate when published. AUT reserves the right to amend individual dates as required.)
