Public buses to AUT University: timetables, tickets and routes
Auckland’s main bus routes stop near AUT’s 3 main campuses. The City Circuit and Link buses travel a central city and inner suburbs route, and stop at AUT’s city campus on Wellesley Street and Mayoral Drive.

City Circuit: free red bus in central Auckland
Runs every 10 minutes, 8am–6pm daily.
Link bus: central Auckland and inner suburbs
Timetable
- Runs every 10 minutes, 6am–7pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday 7am–6pm
- Runs every 15 minutes after 7pm Monday to Saturday, and Sunday 7am–11.30pm
Route
It travels in a circuit (both directions) around K Road, Ponsonby Road, Queen Street, Britomart, Parnell, Newmarket and Symonds St.
Northern Express buses: between central Auckland and North Shore suburbs
- Runs every 10 minutes, day and night
- Travels on Northern Busway (next to the Northern Motorway, State Highway 1)
- Stops at Akoranga station (connected to AUT’s North Shore Campus) and 4 other busway stations
- Bike (cycle) and car parking is at the Albany and Constellation Drive busway stations

- The driver will clip your ticket, which you need to buy from 1 of the shops or outlets below
- No cash accepted on shuttle buses

- Runs daily from City Campus (Mayoral Drive) to the North Shore Campus (main driveway).
- Timetable differs during semester break
- Does not run on public holidays
- Manukau Campus - a limited service is available
